Default 95 LS400 Antenna Replacement.

Hi all,
I'm new here. I am trying to replace the antenna on my 95 LS 400 with a flexible fixed aftermarket antenna. I had a 92 that I was able to find one for that fit and worked fine. But on my 95 the mast is on the side of the fender. I can't find a replacement that has a base piece that is big enough to cover the elongated hole. Has anyone here found a workaround to this? The motor still works fine but the plastic drive belt is broken. The antenna gets terrible reception so I am trying to replace it. The reception improved tremendously when I replaced the one in my 92.

The best and most inexpensive is to get another mast and replace that only. That antenna system is 100's of times better than some aftermarket junk.

The mast itself is easily replaced and dealer price is ~$45. You may have to remove the access plate on the motor to remove the broken pieces.

i replaced the mast only as well on my 97. i used this method to replace it, though i know it's for a 1st gen car. the same process applies.

you can also use the cell phone antenna imprinted on the rear windshield glass but that involves more wiring. the reception is only slightly compromised but the result is worth the effort as the car looks more sleek without the antenna protruding.

I bought one off a seller on Amazon, AntennaX, and its been working great. Has OE quality fit and finish for the mast. The cable took a couple tries to retract all the way, but after a day or two of driving it found its spot and goes all the way in.

A good alternative to an expensive dealer replacement at only 21 bucks. I remember buying one for my Honda that cost me 72 dollars for my 93 accord so I imagine it costs somewhere around there at a Lexus dealer.
