Wife is ok? Sad to see the car get some body work though thankful this looks like a simple replacement.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about this, Billy. I hope your wife is doing okay.

Yeah, looks like you're going to need a new fender, and potentially a fender molding. I can see your door was also bent, but nothing that a body shop can't handle.

Sorry to hear. I hope you wife is okay. Luckily, it looks like the damage is repairable.

No more factory paint now. I would replace the parts with factory painted ones. And not let the idiot body shops do their stupid blend deal, if you know what good paint is suppose to look like you will not be happy. Especially in a few years a partial repaint can be spotted a mile away, hmmm at least by a person that knows what they are looking at. And the car is old enough they may total it.

In terms of insurance totaling your car, I would not worry. Given how much you care for your car and its current condition, I think you will be fine.

Dicer also makes a good point about factory paint, but white is a gamble with used parts. I'm sure you will judge the situation well.

Good luck and keep us posted, Billy.

Glad everyone is OK... If you're concerned with matching you might as well paint the whole side. The door needs some work anyways. Old white paint is a really tough to match no matter the shop.

Really sorry to hear about that Billy. I know you just get her all fixed up and ready for another 100k miles.

It really is a shame people can't pay more attention on the road.

glad your wife is ok billy! pick the best body shop to tackle this, as the pearl is very hard to match properly.

no one was hurt at all.. thanks..
I was going to Park Place Lexus and let them fix it... but I really don't want to have it painted, so I might try to clean it up and just keep on driving it..
what do you all think?

I'd take a rag and 90% isopropyl alcohol and see how much of that dark paint transfer comes off. I'm sure a good amount of it will. What you can live with after that is all personal opinion.

The fender has paint, easy dent to push out. Rubbing compound on the black. No need to paint it. Repainting is a down grade, I saw a cheesy rear quarter fix driving down the freeway today. It must have been a few years old the repaint was fading badly.
