No key and the trunk lock on he dash has been drilled out. Is there a way to jump the trunk open? I can access the underside of the dash. Thanks!

In case of a 95-97, it's the pin 17 of connector C. Sorry that I don't know about a 90-94.

93 LS400 Help! Locked keys in trunk.
OKSorry about that...93 LS 400. When I find the right connector/pin how do I ground it? Add a wire to the pin, replace the connector and touch the wire to sheet metal? Thanks!

Lol! How do I "ground a pin"? Just add a wire and touch the end to sheet metal? Can I find the appropriate pin in the owner's manual? Thanks!

1993 LS400 where is the MPX body computer connector/pin for trunk release?
Yes. I locked my keys in the trunk! Also how do I ground the pin to release the trunk? Thanks!
(Sorry for the double post but wanted to post a more specific question)

And you will need to know is that view looking at the connector still plugged into the ecu or after its disconnected looking into the end? And do you leave it connected to the ecu when doing the grounding or unplug it before doing the grounding? And if you do have to unplug then the battery needs to be disconnected before unplugging or reconnecting it. And maybe I'm adding more complexity to nothing here, but its need to know stuff that was not included.
And yes you would have one end to a good ground on the car, you would find the location in the shop manual not the owners manual.
Manual on the Toyota site if you need it.

1993 is a gen 1 and as far as I know all gen 1's do not have that computer. You would just jumper the key switch that is down near the trunk release. That means gaining access to the back of the switch to remove the connector to jump it. The key switch just disconnects the trunk release switch so it won't work, so you are basically bypassing the key switch to make the normal release work.

Wasn't this one that now has been merged for a gen 2? Then a question was presented about a 93????????????? Its very confusing. And now there is a year added to the post title???????????

Yes thanks I need to know all of that. And yes I left out the year (1993) in first post and got answers for later gens. I need to know how to bypass the trunk lock switch. When I unplug the connector from the back of the key switch then what?
Any tangible help would be gdreatly appteciated.

I find that you are a guy who don't inform the detail and asking for a help to rest of us. You should have informed us at least the year and the situation of the current status.
So you can access the connector. Then it's quite easy. Just make a short circuit between the contacts using a paper clip or a jumper wire.

Thanks! I was able to pop the trunk by inserting a wire where the wires go into the back of the connector (wire harness) to the trunk release. By trial and error I jumped several combinations between the four wires til the trunk opened. I didn't need to remove the connector from the back of the trunk release. Sorry, again for not including the year in my first post and for any inconvenience that caused.
