Questions about spacer and lug length, hub rings
I have a 2000 LS400 and I just recently purchased 18 inch rims. There is a slight chance I may need to use a 3mm hubcentric spacer. Are the factory wheel studs long enough to accommodate the lug nuts once this is installed? 6.5 turns I believe is the minimum. Also, the hub rings I was supplied are the correct size but don't fit snug, I can tip the tire and it falls right out(they are the plastic ones),,,is this normal? would aluminum hub rings fit better? thank you in advance.

This also depends on wheel pad thickness. The recommended goal is 12mm or more of threaded engagement. 6.5 turns yields about 9.75mm. Extended type ET tuner lugs may also be a consideration but these may not fit all wheels properly. In which case longer studs so that you'll be confident in getting more than 8 full turns.
Aluminum over plastic.
