Default right control upper arm lexus ls400

so i had my front brakes/rotors done and my mechanic mentioned i need to get this replaced too. how urgent is this to get replaced? he said i can wait but not a good idea...also the prices i see are cheaper online, than what he quoted~ 400$. i get that its not oem. does this part need to be genuine lexus?

thanks

of course the part does not need to be OEM. it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. it's the upper ball joint on the arm that is probably failing while requires the entire arm to be replaced.

search more here, and you'll see what aftermarket options other owners have had success with.
