Default Front Coil S Insulator

Does anyone know what this part is for? I have 2 brand new but I'm not sure if I need to go through the trouble of installing them if I don't need to, thanks in advance

Genuine part no. 48157-50010

If its the rubber deal between the spring and the cap you need it to keep it from squeaking. And you only need to install them if your replacing your struts.
