You sure keyhole next to the trunk release is not in the locked position?

There is a key lock next to the inside release handle is it out, unlocked? If so could be anything from a bad switch to a bad release solenoid.

The latch and releases themselves can be fine, but if the springs on the trunk-lid hinges that push them up are worn out (which happens over time), it's not going to raise properly, even if it unlatches.

Default tired or slow trunk thes fix so simple



$12 for both just hook on adjustable tension
