Default 1996 vs 1999 parts compatibilty

Wanted to see if any of the parts are compatible from a 1999 ls400 to a 1996 ls400 I have a local junkyard that has a 1999 ls400 and its has a good gauge cluster, climate control, switches, etc for really cheap $$$ or if there is any hard to find parts I should try to get since the car is whole. I have other threads about gauge cluster and climate control issues so since my cluster will be going out for repair I wanted to have something to put in while other one is out and if my climate control is bad too I will send out so please lexus community don't chastise me about having 3 threads at once lol thanks for any helpful info

There are big design changes. Both the gauge cluster and the climate control are not compatible at all.

Most of the car was redesigned for the 98 model. Does it have a good front bumper? Ive been trying to locate one for a while. Most parts are on the west coast when i check car-parts.com

The wheels are also compatible, should you need them. I doubt that the front bumper will fit properly.

sure they are compatible after being worked over at a body shop. i've seen in part numbers that even the doors vary between 95-97 and 98-00. anything can be worked to fit, but i believe the OP is asking for parts compatibility for direct bolt ins.

the climate control is another thing that is NOT a direct bolt in but can be reworked to function properly.

Are you sure?
Hope someone would not have serious problems believing your statement.

are you telling me the climate control from a 98-00 will directly bolt onto a 95-97 car? maybe i was confused since the clocks are different from the model years and was mistaken to think it was related to the climate control. if so i type, corrected !

Timmy, reading below, you will be knowing why I worry about your statement.

Hope no more person will have the same smoking problem.

I know you are a kind person and you always try to help others. But sorry to say that I sometimes find some inaccuracy in your posts.
