They had a really nice 2000 at my local dealer with 50k miles on it. Black on tan. They wanted almost $10k for it, sold immediately.

Hey guys. just joined to get opinions on whether I should buy a 1994 ls400. It has 140,000 on it and it has been garage kept its whole life. I have known the guy and car since it was new and it is well maintained. Only issues are the climate control blank and cd changer not working. He wants $1500.00. So what say you guys? Should I jump or not? thanks

I really don't need a car but never one to let a deal go by. Are they really that good or just good for 20 years ago. I've read bulletproof mention often with these cars. So climate lcd and cd changer can be fixed reasonably priced?

These cars are NOT bulletproof. They are more reliable than many cars on the streets but certainly not bulletproof - no car produced thus far is.

Every car will need work, but the LS400 is very reliable. Once in a blue moon, you may have to change the starter or the timing belt, but this is insignificant in terms of day-to-day life with the car.

It's also very unheard of to know the owner and the car since it was new, along with it's past history. This is very important when determining whether to buy a car or not.

I say, if you can take care of it and garage it, go for it!

My climate control, cig lighter, clock and radio stopped working at the same time - it was a faulty cig lighter popping the fuse.

That car had more parts replaced than my previous LS when she was at 160K fourteen years ago, which seems to indicate that parts do deteriorate with time even when not used.

I can say mine is the real deal, just as clean as advertised, with many local CL members to vouch for it. Only 86K miles and all major maintenance done.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...86k-miles.html

I had a buyer stop by last night who loved it and will be confirming today whether or not he plans to buy it. Fingers crossed, but if it falls through someone needs to scoop this up who will appreciate it!
