My 1991 ES 250 had chrome "turbine" rims and they looked great.Still have six chrome ones collecting dust.

1991 ES 250? I saw one of those in my town last year, after I parked my LS down the street. I really wanted to talk to the owner, but he seemed busy.

So, you have 6 other rims not on the car?

those are almost extinct at this point. ive seen 3 ES250s in the last ten years. two were sitting side by side in a junkyard several years back. the other one I saw in traffic a few months ago. thought id seen a ghost. last one I saw on the road before that was a black one back in 2005!

the 430 wheels with the stock ride height looks a bit weird, it's like the natural rule of aesthetics that the bigger the rim the lower the car needs to be for it to look "right" without becoming a donk. with the H&R's on the 430 wheels can almost pass for stock i think. although i think the 17" 430 wheels may be more in tune with the character of the car, the 18s have undertones of sportiness which sort of changes things and looks a bit weird if the car isn't lowered.

OK guys I've cleaned up this thread and have a couple of requests for you all.

1) knock off the personal callouts. If you don't like someone, put them on your ignore list and move on. If you can't do that, then don't post.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/pro...?do=ignorelist

2) We are all LEXUS enthusiasts here, but get used to there being different styles or modifications you may not like. It's absolutely fine to say something (polite and mature) to express your opinion, but if you make a habit out of trolling other members posts or putting them down you're going to be asked to stop or to leave by the moderator team. Same things go if you like your car 100% stock - if you set about badgering anyone who modifies their car we're going to take action if it becomes a trend. Live and let live. Treat others as you... etc

This is for a different subforum, but the same sentiment applies here. Please read
