Input needed on color choice for new LS400 purchase
Hello everyone: after a long hiatus, I am back and anxiously seeking another LS400 to buy. I had to sell my last 1998 due to an unforeseen family emergency just a few months back.
I am now in the market for another 98-2000 model. I've read all the posts exhaustively which cover the year-to-year differences between each model, and I am happy going with any of the three years, although 99-00 might be a bit better.
Having said that, I have narrowed down my choices of colors to the following:
1. Baroque Red Metallic
2. Imperial Jade Mica
3. Antique Sterling Metallic
4. White
5. Atlantis Blue Mica
Of the above, the one that surprised me the most was the Baroque Red Metallic. I'm not typically a fan of anything red on a car, but this deep hue caught my eye. The Imperial Jade Mica to my eye is very classy and I could live with that color very easily. The Antique Sterling Metallic has the least feedback on the forums that I have seen, along with Atlantis Blue Mica. I like the ASM better than the standard silver on the LS400, and while it is certainly different, it is not bad. I can't draw any conclusions on the Atlantis Blue Mica, because, simply put, I can't find any comments on that particular color. The white, needless to say, is a classy color that I could swing for very easily. If I found a white car with ivory/tan colored seats, I wouldn't have a problem with that.
Any feedback on the above colors would be greatly appreciated. While mileage and mechanical condition of the car are paramount, I want a color that I not only can live with, but one that retains the classy lines of the car, but at the same time is classy as well.
Thanks in advance for the comments.

i say good luck trying to find the color you prefer ON TOP of finding a car in the right shape. finding a car with the correct maintenance should be top priority and the color secondary.
i'd also consider the interior color of the car, and tan interiors are my peeve unless in absolute mint condish. narrow down your interior choices and you've narrowed down your external color choices.

TimmyTool - it goes without saying that the mechanical integrity of the car IS my first priority; I covered that in another post, but to not repeat myself, I merely wanted to highlight another aspect of my car purchase.
I'm not in any hurry to find a car that has both both exterior colors and interior that I can not only live with, but that I like. You do mention a good thing, however, in choice of interior colors. I actually prefer lighter colored seats, while black is not on my list of preferred colors.

this should help:
http://www.paintscratch.com/touch_up...xus-LS400.html
These links are specific to the 1990-1994 models; however, you can select different model year LS400s at toyotareference.com, and you can change the url for paintscratch.com to 1998-Lexus-LS400.html, etc.

BillyD - thanks for the timely link for the paint codes. I will definitely look them
up a bit later, and I think they'll help me in my search.
Saleen - the Baroque Red Metallic has caught my eye, and it's probably one of my top two choices, including Imperial Jade Mica. If you happen to have a few pictures of your car, I would love to see a few more angles on how the BRM looks. Feel free to post these pictures if you have the time.

Saleen, thanks for taking the time to post a few pics of your LS400. You actually answered a question I had about that color, in that you mentioned it looking better in person than in pics. I have wondered that about the other colors too, as pictures sometimes don't do the actual color justice.

Very classy color, to be sure. I came across one that I really liked, however, it had navigation and I prefer getting one without the problematic NAV.
Can anyone comment on how the Silver Jade Pearl looks in person? It was not on my initial list of colors I was considering, however, in looking at pictures here on CL, it looks real nice.
