Does a 1996 LS400 have a chip/transponder? I only have 1 key with a factory key FOB and wanted to get a couple of duplicate keys cut and also to see if any recommendations ahead of time, I did search threads but forgive me but most that I found did wandering about other stuff within the thread so it didn't really tell me 100% chip or not and also if cutting key is a special thing or not. Thanks

no there is no chip in your key.. I bought an ebay key had it cut and it worked perfect

Thanks for info I had one made at ACE hardware and I will order one that is a oem type lexus blank and get it cut
