Default Power steering hose cracked on my 98 Celsior

I just find this below. There are cracks as are indicated by yellow arrows.
This is a known issue as is shown here and I have been keeping an eye on this for the past a few years. But it has been OK up to just recently. We had very cold winter days for the last a couple of weeks and all of the sudden, those cracks started.

Now I need to replace the hose before it breaks.

In a pinch I subbed out some fuel line hose from O'Reillys for the reservoir to pump lines (supply/return) in my '98... it's obvious after 6 months that I need some true hydraulic lines as they're swelling up something awful. I think both the lines are 3/8ths or is one of them larger?

Mine broke when I changed the pump. Whole hose was hard as a rock.

This is the low pressure pump feed line. This can be replaced with any hose meant for higher temperatures like transmission cooler line and hydraulic (low pressure) hose.

I would NOT use a regular fuel line, it will work for a time but it isn't meant for the higher temperatures and will get hard again in a few years.

Yes, it was as hard as a rock indeed. I had a bit hard time to remove it due to the hardness.
Today, I replaced the hose after sucking the P/S oil as much as possible.
I used a genuine part 44348-50010 as is shown below. This was soft and quite easy to install.
