Default That LS400 feeling

It's the exact opposite of buyer's remorse. Whenever I walk into the garage and see her sitting there, I can't believe I bought a car this well built and luxurious for so little money.

I agree. I've had a lot of nice cars over the years but for the money you can buy one of these cars for there is nothing else that can beat it for reliability, fuel economy, and luxury. Had a guy ask me if he could buy mine yesterday......

i live for these moments when it's not inappropriate to talk about my car some more lol...

but yeah it's literally so damn good, every time i walk up to it and see the majesty i just feel undeserving of it haha. i mean this is a car you're supposed to be able to buy after many years of hard work and making all the right choices, and here i am getting it as a hand me down for my first car just over 4 years ago now. what am i supposed to look forward to now? thanks to regulations and everything there's probably never gonna be another car built like this one, so how do you upgrade after your first car is already like the best car ever lol.

funny thing is that if my grandparents had just sold it i'd never give an LS 400 another look on the street, and probably just think it's some ES. now that i know however there's no going back.

yours looks really good though, still shimmers and doesn't even have scuffed up wheels

I explained this to some of my friends a couple of weeks ago... Toyotas in general just have this je ne sais quoi about them that when you get in and drive, they just make you happy. I just picked up my third yota and I still get that feeling every time I drive.

lexus/toyota surely hit the nail on the head establishing their brand so fast using this flagship model. i'm a die hard honda head and toyota has opened my eyes to what was and is out there beyond FWD econo boxes. the LS400 is so underrated nowadays and the few in the know like us get to reap the benefits!

I look back at my LS's all the time. Even with their cosmetic imperfections, they are beautiful. Plus, this summer will mark ten years since I bought my trusty rusty first 93 with 210k miles for 2k on ebay (my profile pic). I HAVE NOT broken down or been left stranded since then! Who needs AAA when you you own an LS? not me

Feel the same about my Alpine Silver 98. Just a beautiful car. So smooth. I look on Craigslist every day and see some nice 98-00 models and I want all of them. Like being at the Animal Shelter and wanting to take all the little pups home. These cars are turning into some weird fetish for me.

Hello, my name is Legender and I'm a Lexaholic...

I've been known to peek in the garage to see how she looks...
and cruise CL regularly for new deals and opportunities
and have outfitted both my parents with one
and have one as a daily and one as a back up (like I've ever used it)

Love the look of the 400 over all the other models. What's not to like.

The feeling is mutual. I can't help but look at my 91', wherever I take it.

I've been known to take a lot of photos of the car as well; hence, how I created my avatar.

Everyone thinks i was crazy for buying an old man car, but I love my 99 LS400. I have a 2014 IS350F and 2010 RX, and out of all of them I rather drive my LS. Very smooth comfortable ride, excellent condition; I've even had people ask if I was selling it, but I don't think I ever will. My goal is to hit 500,000 miles, right now I only have 124k.
