Default New LS400 Owner Questions

Great board! Look forward to learning a lot about my Lexus. Recently bought a 93 LS400 with 90K miles. Loving it so far. Had just a couple questions that I've come up with.

Do the rear windows not fully retract? The front windows go straight all the way down but both rear ones as they lower start to angle down and stop once they are about 80-90% down. Both stop at the same spot so I'm thinking this was a deliberate design concept.

Also the cassette player doesn't seem to want to play tapes. The tape will go in and eject fine & PLAY comes on the display but nothing plays and then after a few seconds the system reverts back to radio mode. I've actually got it to play a tape a couple times (and it sounds great) but it took me loading/holding down the TAPE button about 20 times before it engaged. Am I stupidly missing some basic step or should I just take it to a stereo shop to get checked out. Thought maybe just the heads needed cleaning, but I can't even get the head cleaner tape to play in order to clean the heads.

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have.

Hey Bonzer,
Congrats on the car. I have a 92 with 156K on the clock which is on
its way out for a new one. I am sure you will find plenty of information
here to help with your car.
As far as the windows, they were designed to go down a little angled
giving a inversed parabola type shape at the back. It is perfectly normal.
As for the stereo, I would take it to a stereo shop you trust, dont let them
talk you into buying a new head unit. It will get very expensive if they do.
Good luck with the car though.
