TSB on SUB?
This is a dumb question but I just read there is a TSB on my sub woofer and amp for LS 400 made prior to 8/93. MIne was manufractured on 3/93 so it doesn't have the new design for the amp/sub. Does that mean I can contact Pioneer and get them to send a replacment? Or am I confusing a TSB with a recall?

You are confusing the two. A TSB (technical service bulletin) is issued after a certain number of people experience similar problems with certain things and is usually only issued to dealers. Even though a TSB was issued doesn't necessarily mean that there is a problem with your sub or amp.. Generally, a recall only applies when there are so many problems in a certain area that the manufacturer agrees to replace the part, but it usually has to be under the original or extended warranty and the customer is notified directly by the manufacturer.

Wel, that makes sense and that is what I was thinking but while reading the TSB the last sentence reads:
"Please return exhanged woofer amplifier to Pioneer immediately. "
And that is when I got confused? Why would you return it without some sort of replacement?
