help please car wont start anti theft problem
hello i have a 1990 lexus ls400 i bought from private party the keys that were given were two key one is to unlock doors but only from passenger side the other is to start the car worked fine for the past 7 months since i purchased up until about 3 days ago when i went to unlock the car the key would not turn so i had to unlock through the window i set the alarm off and put the key in the ignition but it wouldnt turn off the alarm nor turn over to start i was able to get the car in natural so i could move it into my drive so i wouldnt get a ticket for parking on the street i disconnected the battery terminal hoping this would solve the problem but it didnt i pulled the fuse for the alarm and reconnected the battery terminal and that kept the alarm from going off but still could not start or turn over they ignition can anyone please tell me how can get my car to start and fix this problem?

You have to use a key and lock then unlock either of the front doors it does not have to be the driver side. I suppose if you don't have a working key or lock you could take the door panel off and remove the wire and sit inside and manually switch the wires, I don't know if its a make or break to unlock, I'd have to hit the books. And of course the battery is connected when doing the lock and unlock deal.
If you have an owners manual it explains it.
