'92 LS400 -motor has missing problem
Any ideas what I need to check to solve a missing problem? I've changed the wires and plugs. Replaced one knock sensor and installed a new fuel filter.. Also checked the exhaust system for
blockages. Help!

Don't throw parts at it. Find the problem and fix it. Does it change if the coils are disconnected? Can you hear any vacuum leaks? Take your time and check every thing before you buy parts.

Its funny how everyone likes to just start tossing parts at a problem. If you don't know how to properly trouble shoot, it maybe cheaper to find someone that does. The very first thing to do is look at a service manual. Either go to a dealer and ask to see it. Or go online to the Toyota site and down load it. Follow the trouble shooting chart in it. A constant miss does not always have to be caused by electrical or fuel supply. There are mechanical conditions that can cause it.
And wow a knock sensor? I hope you changed, overhauled, got new, did something with the starter when you did that.

Yeh, replaced starter about six months ago. Its possible I should have replaced the other knock sensor as well. The one I replaced had some broken parts on it. The other one seemed OK, so I left ot alone.

It looks close to impossible to do with out taking all the plenum and intake out of the way. Its easier to remove the whole intake than to deal with removing fuel rails and all that as I'm sure that fuel rails and throttle body etc has to be removed to get to them. Then there is releasing the connectors on them and getting a tool in there, if it can be done I bet its very tight.
