I'm legitimately not kidding when I say that I'd rather have your LS400 than his Ferrari

I think you guys are being a little sensitive. I'm not familiar with the guy or his videos, but my guess is his personality is part of his videos. Nothing he said about the LS isn't something thats been said by somebody before. The truth is, its not a performance car, its not a "flashy" car, its just not those things. What it is however is an incredibly well built, incredibly quiet and comfortable cruiser, that at 15 years old and 125,000 miles probably drives like its 3-4 years old. He's not the sort of person that appeals to, and thats okay.
I mean, what else can somebody buy for "$6-7k" that will deliver that reliability, that quality, and that level of class? You can still pull up to a country club in that car and look totally at home.
My guess is with the lowered suspension, 18" wheels and the muffler delete a lot of its "LS-ness" on the road is diminished, I noticed he referred to "driving a normal car" quite a few times. I'd be interested to see what he thought of one that was still stock. I remember when I was a kid and I had driven my dad's 98 LS to school one time, I was taking a girl out to lunch and we were talking as we pulled out of the parking lot. As soon as we were on the road she stopped mid sentence and said "Wow, this is the smoothest car I've ever ridden in!".
Its just extraordinary at different things than are important to him. Just like his Ferrari is to me.

it's really only over bumps and bad pavement where you really notice the "slightly diminished" ride quality but it's still really smooth. and the lack of mufflers really doesn't even make it that loud he just, his criticism was basically "it's bland and it's not a sports car" which i agree
