Default 1995 LS400 Gauge Cluster

My speedo is out of control and I need to get the cluster out so I can have it repaired. I have the steering wheel all the way down and extended as far as it will go. I have the cluster loose but am unable to get any clearance on either side to get at the connectors. I sure would appreciate some insight on how to finish up this removal. Working outside in the heat and humidity of Florida is no treat. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can pass my way.

That is the nature of how cluster comes out. No other way. You just have to know the mechanism of that connector to pull out of the cluster. There is a center notch on all three connectors where you have press down. Then the connectors come out. You can pull the cluster toward you to get some slack out on the wires. Good luck.
