The gas mileage on my Lexus LS400 1997 4.0 Liter 260 HP V8 has covered a wide range & I wondered what other owners have achieved.
Around town I've gotten 11.5 - 18 mpg.
Highway I've achieved 20 - 30 mpg.
On a recent highway trip I achieved 30 mpg going & 24 mpg on my return trip. I averaged 65 - 70 mpg
I'm really enjoying this car.

Just back from a 2,400 mile trip and averaged around 27 MPG. Hard to believe a car this large gets that kind of mileage.

Large & Heavy ~ I never expected to get this kind of mileage. This last highway trip was not under optimum driving conditions either way. There were times when the flow of traffic was 80 mph, stop & go, & just stopped.
I see your LS400 has only 39k miles - congratulations!
