Default need help- electrical problem-radio cutting out

Ok so I've had my lexus for about 7-8 months now, and I had a radio and speakers installed. After the first month my car started experiencing electrical problems to the point one day it didn't turn over. Come to find out I had a power steering leak that dripped on the alternator and etc.etc. So I had the alternator rebuilt and everything was good up until a month ago when my radio randomly cut off, then the car cut off. I pulled it over and sat for a couple minutes before turning it back on. It ran good with the radio powered off. But now it seems like everything is back to normal. My question is is the system demanding more power than the battery and stuff can handle? Should I go upgrade to a performance battery, or do you think it's some other electrical problem?

go have the battery load tested and have the alternator output checked and be kind enough to tell us what year you are driving and we will give you some good guesses.....

Year and model would help. Also have that radio install double checked.

There is a special adapter harness for after market radios. Even if it won't work on what ever radio head unit whom ever installs, it will always plug into the Lexus plugs, so always use one of those and never cut splice or anything into the car harness. Pretty simple advice to avoid messy electrical problems, and an unprofessional install.

Turns out my alternator failed. So what I think I'm going to have to do is replace the power steering pump either the bushings on the alternator or a whole new alternator. If you guys have any suggestions on where I could get the parts that would be great. Thanks in advance
