According to the tag on the windshield from the previous owner I'm due for an oil change.
How often do you change oil & filter? What brand oil & viscosity?

I change engine oil and filter every 6k miles, i use ZIC 5W-30

6 months or 6000km whichever come first, regular dino 5W30 like Castrol or Shell.Toyota filter most of time

Mobil 1 synthetic 5w30 every 6k miles and I changed the oil myself with oem Toyota oil filter.

Pennzoil dino every 5,000 miles and an AC Delco oil filter.

Once a year with a name brand synthetic 0w30 or 5w30 and a Fram Ultra filter. Usually ends up being 5000-7500k miles. Currently has Amsoil AZO 0w30 in it. In the fall it will get Mobil AFE 0w30.

Castrol high mileage or valvoline maxlife 5w30 with purolator filter every 3-4000 miles. Now at just under 258k and runs like new

Gen 1 LS, When it needs it and 10W-30 Chevron, Anything will variable valve timing needs the factory spec oil.

I dare to be different...every 15K miles with Mobil 1 Extended Performance with/ FRAM Ultra Synthetic 15K mile filter. Been doing that for about three years now, so far so good.

Car is a '97 with 219,xxx.

I change mine every 5k miles using Mobil1 5w30 full synthetic and A Toyota oil filter.

I change the oil on my 99 LS and all my other cars every 3000 miles with 5-30 mobil 1, I know thats more often than necessary but i am a maintenance freak and like to drive a bit more aggressive than most, that said it gives me piece of mind and I enjoy doing the maintenance on my cars, been changing the oil in all my cars at 3k since the first car I bought in 1977
