Pump has been noisey for a while but recently the noise has gotten worse. Time to replace it before it blows up.
I ordered a maval reman as I read they are very good for OEM level rebuilds. $500 for a new OEM pump..cant swing that.

I am wondering, what all is done to the reman pumps? Are the vanes replaced? Or is it just seals, slap paint on it and ship it out? Seals alone wont help a worn groaning pump.

to my knowledge, all the parts are cleaned, and resealed with new clips, bearings, stuff that cannot be reused during disassembly.

toyota has a PS rebuild kit with all the parts you need.
