Aisin water pump gasket part #, help.
Hi, I bought a timing belt/water pump kit off ebay for my 99 LS400. There is a rectangular gasket that Aisin no longer includes with their water pump that I need. I talked to the company that I bought the kit from they gave me the part number for the same gasket for a Toyota Tundra 4.7l, which is not right and I talked to 3 lexus parts guys and my mechanic and somehow none of them could figure this out.
I will include a picture of where this gasket fits to on the water pump. I figure you guys are the real experts.

I made a gasket from sheet gasket material
Original gasket was black silicone? . No other gasket . Feels better with some gasket material there to give some Surface pressure to whole surface. I bought general gasket material sheet 0.4 mm (1/64") thick. Cut out a gasket with a scalpell and used Permatex on both sides. Sealed well.

If you want to use a gasket, you need Fel-Pro P/N 35941.

You must not work on Lexus/Toyota's much. They use FIPG almost everywhere. I use the stuff from the dealer it's really good stuff. Your oil pan, transmission pan, rear diff and the water pump port are a few of the things assembled with FIPG. The thermostat housing has a groove machined in it to run the thin bead of FIPG in to seal to the water pump. I've done this many many times and never had a leak, especially with the OEM FIPG from the dealer.

Ok, well thanks a lot you guys are great help. Amazing how no lexus parts guys could figure that out, on top of the company that sold me the part. This is what my mechanic said he would do anyhow if I couldn't find the (non-existent) part. Thanks again.
