1998 LS400 Turn Signal Lights Ejecting Themselves
Surprisingly I haven't found anything about this on any forums but this is the second time it's happened to me. While making a high speed run my turn signals will fall straight through and onto the floor and you do not notice it happening till you try using them again and the flash is really quick. The first time it was only my passenger turn signal but the most recent Time took both sides out. Does anyone have any solutions to this? Could come up with something myself but I'd like to get some ideas if possible. 😅😜😇🔧🔨

Ok, this has happened to my passenger side light several times. I'm betting that the housings don't snap into the headlight all the way so they are sticking out a little. When the air gets in between the bumper and the light the pressure pulls the turn signal housing right off.

Going full throttle down a long empty road get to atleast 140 and than when get out to see why my blinkers are going crazy I find that both turn signal housings are missing... Don't know when they fell out or anything doesn't make a noise at all when it happens.

I believe it is falling straight through because the first time it happened I did notice that there was a whole where it looked like it ripped under the splash guard but I'm not positive

Yeah, after I had some body work done on my LS, I had one fly out on the interstate...granted I was going about 90 when it happened. The body-shop put a new one in and made sure it was much more snug in there that time. I haven't had a problem since.
I'd say just fool around with it in the housing until you feel that it really is "secure" in there.

is someone messing withis us haha?
there should be a single screw to hold the housing in place. even if the housing were to come loose, the bulb holder should hold the housing to the car and just dangle there. if the bulb holder AND the housing ejects, you are doing some SERIOUS offroading!

And so how does it fall onto the FLOOR??????????????????? The floor is in the inside of the car. And the ROAD or pavement is on the outside of the car, especially when you are driving it and the lights fall out.
