Default New lower ball joints for my 1999 LS

Well my baby turned over 190k over the weekend and I heard a little pop in the silent front end (love this car) and Jon (my nephew who does my work) said my lower ball joints had some up and down movement and were "gone" so I ordered 2 new ones and he will put them in this week (I hope).. it is amazing how quiet it still is... I put new SRB's in it a few years back and still had a little thunk on certain bumps and he pulled the rubber tops off the struts and tightened up the top nut about a turn on each side and it was quiet again.... some of you guys might want to try that.. I mean it was silent again after that. .. and I love those new 235/55/17 Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires, done real good in all the rain we have just had.. she looks so good to me..

Billy... she does look good. Still working on my newly purchased 98 but hope to be up to looking as good as yours shortly. It's got 203k on it and needs some maintenance done to catch up from 4 years of neglect by previous owner.
Glad you're getting the Lower ball joints done and getting the quiet ride back. I am also looking for tires and was leaning toward the Michelins, but will look into the goodyears also based on your recommendation. Of course, I still have the 16 inch rims.
As you, I am way impressed with the quality of this ride after 18 years. It is my preferred model

you are right, it is easier to locate A problem than to let them go and try to catch up when they are multiple sounds you are guessing at...

BillyD - if you don't mind me asking, where did you buy the SRB? I am thinking about replacing mine (1998 model), although it's just my left side (driver's side) that is making the creaking noise. I found a good deal on both E-bay & RockAuto on the KYB struts, that according to multiple posts are very close to OEM.

Any information you could share would be great; thank you.

wow glad it's taken care of billy!
kyk007 you can get them from you local dealership or any place online that sells genuine lexus parts. billy probably got his SRB from sewell lexus which has since stopped selling parts last month.

Timmy - yes, major bummer that Sewell quit selling parts online. Thanks for the tip.

Yes Lexus of South Atlanta saved me a bunch of cash when I ordered my engine and trans mounts. Even with shipping the total was $180.00 less than my local Lexus dealer.
