Default NAK factory upgrade how much and is it worth it?

I have a chance to get a working complete NAK stereo for my 95 ucf20, head unit amp changer and speakers for $300 shipped to my door. I've got the pioneer system in my car now. Is it worth it? Is it a direct plug in? If it's too much of a ***** to do I'll just leave what I have in it. Need opinions quick on this one

The Nakamichi system is not plug and play. The Pioneer system has three inputs and the Nak has two.The plastic plug ins are no longer available through Toyota Parts and Nakamichi is out of business.Save your money.

Yeah I don't think it would be worth it if it was plug and play anyway.

X2

Get some 6 1/2 installed in the front doors(in the doors, not the plastic box), replace the deck and get a decent 4 channel amp with 2 channel to the front doors and bridge the other 2 channel for the factory sub (replace it later if you want more output) You could also use the deck rear power to power the rear door speakers with an HPF(high pass filter) at 120Hz for some rear fill.

In hardware this will be less than 500$ new and well under 300$ if you shop for used. You will get much better sound than the NAK...

like this JVC double din deck for 60$

not even close to plug and play. You'd need to swap all the harnesses as well as door speakers (wrong impedence iirc).

not something that's a simple swap.
