Hi guys and girls Ive had my lexus for about a year now and im trying to find some atf to use to flush and fill my transmisson. Is the standard still Toyota tpye-Iv or is there something else my local dealer here in Houston is charging $80 a case.

You can buy the same fluid at a Toyota dealer at a much lower price. Use ONLY Toyota fluid. Don't use one of those power flush machines.

dealer seems ok if a case holds 12qts. that comes to $6.67 a quart which is reasonable. i've seen it for a bit cheaper at around $5/quart with a dealership discount.

as stated you can also get toyota type-IV at the toyota dealership as well. only use type-IV in your transmission!

$80. or 3 times that is way cheaper than a rebuilt transmission.
