Default 93 ls400 ignition coils

got 2 new coils for the car mounted the top side one since it was easy noticed no difference unplugged the drivers side one that is a pain to get to and hooked new coil up started the car and no more missing out. Does the coil need to be mounted down on the bracket to act as a ground or will i be able to tie the coil up out of the way and not mount it back down and be ok?

seems to run just fine without it mounted, once the nicer weather comes around then ill finally tear it apart and mount like it should be!

Just make sure it's stable. You don't want it bouncing around under there.
