I priced it at 4500, that was what I gave for it 2 years ago, so I drove it free.. It had tiny hail damage when I got it but it all "popped out" the first summer... amazing.. then I had it polished and waxed last winter and it looked new.

Sorry to hear about you losing one. Still have the chrome wheels off the black one? If you still have them and are interested in selling them, shoot me a PM.

billy, i've always wondered what it was in particular about the LS that has drawn you to them so much, especially considering you were well into your 60's when the brand was first launched, plenty of time to form opinions and preferences. what would your daily driver have been before 1990? i see you've had 2nd generation town cars, my friend was supposed to inherit one from his grandma (who else) and i've always been curious how that drives compared to a 1st gen LS, having only rode in a town car but not drove. when describing how the LS drives to those who haven't been in one i tell them that it's like a good mix of S-class and town car, would this be accurate?

that would be close.....
my daily drivers was 96 & 97 Town Cars for about 4 years.. smooth riding and driving, I thought the very best. then I bought a 92 LS for a friend and drove it for a couple of days until he could pick it up.. and that sold me on them.. I found a 94 LS with a blown timing belt, had 235k on it, but was never changed, I bought it (in 96) replaced the belt and pump and bearings and drove it about 10k and sold it and bought a 96, and I was hooked.. the ride and quietness of the LS was so impressive and with out the Lincoln roll on turning..it is just the best built car I have ever had.. (in my price range)
after 2000, the ride changed a little so I just stayed with 99's... rather than adapt to the newer ride, it felt more fragile than the older ones (to me).. so there you have it..

Sorry about that. I was thinking this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...setup-134.html post 2002 were the ones that you had on the car. I have been looking everywhere for those wheels. Thanks though!

every time i get out i wonder why someone would buy a new car when a really good condition LS can be bought for $8-9k when someone asks me if i could have a new car what would it be and i honestly answer my current car but with 0 miles. why would i want some worse built newer car that you can't see out of with some ridiculous radiator grill? if it just had an easier way to plug in an aux cable...

Billy... I saw your car posted here locally on CL and knew it was yours. I knew you said the time was coming. for that. I know it was a great car and swapping out the chromes to the white one was an excellent choice. Had you been looking to sell the white one first I'd be in line to offer it a great home. Love the white on and you've done well in keeping them pristine.
Best of luck to you and yours and glad you can still drive and enjoy the ride....
