Default How to Hardwire Valentine Radar Detector

Hey Guys,

So I'm getting a Valentine Radar detector for my 1999 LS400. I would like to know where you guys place it and how/where to hardwire it to.

Thanks,

I place mine in the trunk. I got a speeding ticket and it did not go off, twice. Cops are getting pretty sneaky.

I hope you are joking. A radar detector needs a clean line of sight especially without any metal in the way lol

Mine is mounted just to the left of my rear view mirror behind my tint strip and I hardwired it to a hot lead in the overhead console. I then ran a lead down and installed the remote display on my steering wheel column.

If it didn't go off "at all", either your detector is broken or they paced you.

Can you post pics. I want to wire it through the pillar and to my center glove box behind the shifter. Need thoughts/help on getting some panels out of the way.
