looking at buying a 95 - headlight question
solid car - 88,000. just under $5k. Carfax shows no issues and dealer maintained. White, tan interior gold trim (hate the stock wheels though). i currently have an 03 acura TL so thats what my comparison is.
the fan seemed ok on the heat - it got hot, but high wasn't blasting out. and the drivers side heat warmer didn't seem like it was on fire.
the tanny shifted fine when the hammer was dropped - but exceleration in general seemed kinda sluggish - not overly zippy like my acura. is this kinda normal because of size of car?
seemingly the only issue is that the headlight low beams don't work. side markers, fogs, brights all work. a few questions.
1) is this common?
2) why would the lows not work and everything else would?
3) did the 95's have any HID stuff?
4) are there multiple bulbs in the housing or just 1 for low/high?
also - if anyone has any general things i need to look for i would really appreciate a heads up.
thanks!

1. here is my question. was the cars fully warmed up? it could have been sluggish if the car wasnt warmed up. i know in the chicagoland area its been cold. my car ran abit sluggish until it was fully warmed up.
2/4. you have two different bulbs for your car. one for high and one for lows.
3.hids were not available in that generation. it was a option from 98-00 model years.
the reason your car felt abit more preppy is because the tl is a fwd car. it will feel abit more preppy because its pulling you around while the ls is a rwd car. so its like a gentle push from the back instead. that is just my guess on that.

My 95' certainly does feel sluggish! it should have a decent amount of power even considering the size... I guess it also depends on what you are comparing it to...
You might have a bad fuse or a relay for the low beams too.
