Ah, so, the downstream O2 sensor is only $45.
Downstream O2 sensors do nothing but keeping an eye on catalytic converters performance. So, that's why you didn't get any increase in performance. Although, it is curious that a car that is as old as 90 has downstream O2 sensors.

Had rear O2 replaced..no difference.
If anyone recalls, about 4 months ago I posted about a wire hanging from under the right side of my car which turned out to be a cut O2 sensor wire.
I finally got it replaced at my local toy/lex shop for $45 and had the engine error code cleared. 0-60 tests showed no improvement.
Is it safe to say you could run the car without the rear O2 sensors? They don't seem to do much.
