The CEL on my '95 just came on last night. I'm going to have the code(s) pulled out tonight. Anyone here with service manual can help with decoding it ? Thanks in advance !

send me the codes when you get them, I have a code book that should give us an idea for why your light is on, and we'll go from there.

More than likely an emissions sensor. If that's the case, there's no hurry to get it replaced, unless you're due for an emissions test.

which code do u need? I just got a Toyota-Lexus CD. Check engine light ccould be a lot of things. Specific code will help. Give me your fax number. I have the article for you.

tenpointed, you were right. The code is P02430 (if I remember correctly) which according to Autozone is catalytic converter operating below threshold, bank 2 (or something like that). So, it's the downstream O2 sensor on the passenger side.

Tom, are you sure that code is right, I am unable to match that code with my code sheet. Let me know if it is right cause im curious now too.
Someone else who has codes is Lextreme, he replied to you on this post as well, check with him on your code too, he may have a newer source than me.

DOH! I just realized that your '92 still has OBD I and my '95 has OBD II, the codes might be different. Thanks anyway.
