Default Post-crash Air bag R&R question

So after a moderate crash I had both air bags on my '93 400 deploy. I have replaced both bags and the central control unit under the radio, (which is not a job for the faint of heart btw).

Before I resume driving I am tempted to also replace the Air Bag Crash Detector Switch as found at the front of the affected fender, there are two. Does anyone know if a crash ruins this switch? I am afraid it's stuck in the firing position and don't know how to check it. Replacement at this stage of the game would be relatively simple for the record. Thanks!
