Default OK I am confused - A 4 speed 98?

Still looking for my new garage queen LS to add to the fleet and ran across this. It is advertised as a 96 but the pictures are CLEARLY from a gen 2.5... but then I see a picture (6th from last) of the interior with the clearly visible gen 2.5 steering wheel but a 4 speed transmission instead of a 5 that I thought 100% of 98-00 had as standard.

What is this frankenstein!!!

it's totally a frankenstein!!! it looks to be a 1996 model that has 98-up front end, steering wheel, and wheels.

the gauge cluster, center console (which has a HUGE gap at the vents), rear end, and power antenna all indicate it's a 95-97 model. the rear power antenna confirms it alone!

stay away! this is NOT a gem, and has a poor reputation all over it!!! the website alone is enough to tell me that !

i've seen a few of these over the years, a pre-change car with a front end conversion and some newer wheels. This one just has a steering wheel too.

still obviously a '95-97 as told by the trunk/rear bumper, taillights, keys, antenna, glass, lack of center rear headrest, leather, trans, cluster, and dash.

Run away from this car. I looked at this car during my search. Dealership was a mess and didn't even know what it was and all of the bumper and steering wheel changes--sketchy

Yep stay away. I'm willing to bet anything that it was in a serious crash and they stuck a 98 front clip on it
