Default Saying Hi, New LS owner

Hi everyone. I'm new to the LS forum. I just acquired a 96 LS. It has 144K miles on it, clean in and out. My other ride is a 01 740iL which I poured lots of $$ just maintaining it, too many stuff breaking...I'm hoping that the LS won't give me the same problems.
I'm thinking of getting a SC430 wheels (one that kinda look like a plate), will this wheel fit my car or will I need spacers, if I do what size.

Cheers,

Kayser

Welcome to the site.
It's always nice to see another clean Zenki UCF20! :thumb up:
You are going to love this car compared to your 7series... Assuming you checked out your LS thoroughly, what you spend on the 740 per year/ will probably be more than you'll likely spend on the LS in the next 5 years!

You will need spacers to clear the brakes with SC430 wheels.
I suggest going through UCF20 FAQ as well as the "post your ride" and "wheel specs" threads stickied at the top of this forum. it might seem daunting but just about everything you can think of has been done already and there are tons of examples of it in there... Along with a lot of stuff you might never have thought of.

I personally think you should always pour over those threads from start to finish, make note of specific post#'s with a style/setup/idea you really like, to reference back to later.

Also Check the build-threads sub forum at the top of this one, lots of start to finish depictions of what guys have done with their cars if you Fancy a more unique and less stock life for your LS!

Enjoy your time on here!

Welcome to the club. Like shmee said I think you will need at least a 15mm spacer to clear the front brakes with those wheel.

we all can attest that the 400 will be less hassle in the long run compared to your 7-series. just keep the maintenance up to date and enjoy the drive. the timing belt should have been performed at 90k miles. makes sure it's been done!
