I've personally done some searching to see if i could've found anyone that has done the swap to manual in a 98+ ls400.

The reason I'm asking is because i'm considering diving into this swap and I was wondering if I was going to end up being the guinea pig for it.

Right now off the top of my head the first things i'm considering are the differential, the vsc system and any possible codes that might be thrown from a missing oem auto tranny. Any advice or direction I could be pointed in?

In any case I'm going to swap the diff for an lsd anyway so I could do some real

did that. found alot on 1rst and 2nd gen.. 2.5..... not so much.

There is one recent thread on a 95+ LS400 having been converted. I was reading it in recent weeks so its there. Will see if i can find you the link later on when I have more time. Do a bit of searching sir. Good luck and please post your results if you do manage to get this swap done.

So the gs wiring and ecu are similar to the ls. Did not know that.

Yes, vss will give you a problem as with many other issues. I did my 95, pretty much the same car.
Check my posting and get back to me. We will be guinea pigs together....lol
i do have vss figured out and working and very easy too.
The other is a input shaft speed sensor ??? ...lol. i might be able to fool it too.
