Default using the car phone again.

Is there a way to change the guts of my in car phone so it can act as a bluetooth device and make calls on my GSM network? I want to be able to connect my phone and then use the car phone to dial and all that. Or could I put GSM guts in the phone and my GSM card when im in the car and use it when I want??

I believe the tech is just too outdated which has been mentioned lots of times. It would be cool I guess to be able to use the steering wheel controls to answer and end calls but I have not heard of anyone who got it to work in this forum and several ppl have asked this same question.

Im pretty damn good with wiring. I was thinking of buying a GSM phone and meshing the handset and GSM device and putting a copy of my phones GSM in it, but I figured making it a bluetooth would be easier...

I know this has been asked a TON, but most threads I read either say buy a conversion kit from the dealer**** or forget about it. Im looking to get a solid, this is what needs to be done as a DIY and it will work type thread.
