I have an Intrepid (NOT the 2.7), and an Avalon. Moving to a 2-car garage and the LS was the odd car out, at 270,000 miles.

OH NO!!!!!! pyhton is right on that one. Unfortunately you've made an error in judgement. Not in a million years would I have made that choice, hands down the Intrepid should have went first, followed by the Avalon.
You could have easily used the money from the Intrepid for maintenance on the LS and had a far more reliable car. With the build quality of the LS @ 270,xxx it was barely broken in...lol.

I sure hope you had a valid reason to let the car go other than fuel consumption?

But hey, to each his own.
I guaranty you will regret this decision in the future. When you come to your senses and buy your next LS400, post pics here.

Don't get my wrong, the LS400 is definitely a solid car, but at 270,000 any car will need a reasonable amount of repairs. Maybe not necesary repairs, but repairs such as bushings and suspension components, which tend to cost a fortune.

That's exactly what I was referring to "maintenance" wise. I would have used the cash to replace all suspension bushings, caliper rebuilds, brakes bled, all fluids flushed/replaced etc....I guess it helps that I can do all of this on my own. But, taking labor costs into consideration these days, who knows
