Replacing Alternator
First post as a club Lexus member. Woohoo.
Anyways my alternator took a ****, i will be replacing it this week. Are there any alternators in the Toyota line up that have a higher output and will bolt up with no issues? Any insight or assistance is greatly appreciated.

Are you running any aftermarket accessories? I imagine the 98+ models may have a bit higher output and still bolt up. Not sure if the wiring is the same or not though..

Currently only aftermarket accessory I'm running at the moment is a Double Din head unit. I do plan on running an aftermarket sub-woofer and amplifier at some point in time.

When I replaced mine I bought a remanufactured Denso alternator for LS400 which is a straight bolt on, but its output is 160amp which is quite a bit more than stock. If you search for them on e-bay this company is in LA, CA, and they have excellent feedback. It's now been almost a year since I replaced it and it is working great. It also looked brand new when I got it. The price was barely around $120-130, which was only a bit more for a standard Denso unit. I just figured, if it starts dying on me, such high amps should give me some time to change it before it is gone completely (if it ever goes that is).
