Wow, and I thought the interior of this car was bad!

It's almost nothing, when compared to that. My goodness...

That's what sitting in the sun does to an unwaxed and untreated leather car. The paint is just as bad.

I guess I didn't have to take before pictures after all. Needs to have the drivers side door bashed in though.

Indeed, which is why I make it a point to wax the car regularly.

Oh, dear. Well, I'm sure your car is much better now, since you've been working on it.

I was following 1991 Lexus LS 400 down the 5 freeway Irvine California, the engine was smoking and knocking you could hear it from 800 feet away. I followed his car for about 2 miles and finally there was a huge explosion big cloud of smoke and finally the car had to pull over I never thought I would see the day when someone would treat a Lexus this way. The body of the car looked like it had been in a demolished Derby maybe it was and it was on its way home who knows.

First day I got my lexus I crawled all over it and noticed that both tubes on a sensor on the power steering pump were off- so I just plugged them back on. Little did I know at the time that they were leaking oil and that oil would get routed back to the intakes! Boy did my car smoke like crazy for a few days till I figured it out. LOL

Just saw this LS400 on youtube; the video was posted yesterday.

Looks like it was in a severe front left-hand side collision, which slightly bent the frame. The car also has a mismatched door handle, and needs some cosmetic work inside and out. I'm amazed that it actually still has all 3 engine covers; albeit, the battery cover seems to be dislodged.

Ouch! That hurts, especially because it's the same color as mine. I hope all is well now. Were the fenders damaged at all?

Has a steady misfire, PS pump noises and some tapping too, but ironically it fired up alot faster than mine does.

If they are selling it they did the typical ultra detail job, I'm surprised it doesn't have more trash in it, beer bottles etc, with the ash trays stuffed full of butts. I didn't watch the video yet.

That may as well be my daughters LS. Since the hood won't shut we're keeping it classy with zip ties until we get some chain cut and a lock for it. It's ugly. But it fires up every time

I hope you can get to fixing it soon! Really sorry to see the car that way.

As do I but the cost to fix on a 21 year old ride outweighs the benefit. I have a friend at work who buys LS's at auctions, fixes them and then sells. He is interested when we are ready to part. Ugly yes, paid for daily that won't quit...hard to part with it. Plus she loves the car.
