Installed an S204 (06-07 sti) Lip on my 95-97 LS400 *PICS*
The idea had been cooking in my head for a while to give this a try. I had seen it done on various other cars before and thought that our LS400 bumper had a similar shape. I picked the lip up on ebay for around $50, so it wasn't too big of a gamble. It took a little bit of flexing and cutting but over all I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome.
As you can tell from the pics above the sides poked out quite a bit at first.
I cut off the end caps and was able to cut a 45 degree angle in the hidden area of the sides and bend them in to follow the curve of the bumper. Much better.
I will try to get a better side pic of the whole bumper later with the fixed sides.

Most of it is held on by self-tapping screws. Two eyelets lined up perfectly on both side where the fender guards attach nearest to the front, so those are bolted. I plan to go to the hardware store sometime this week and replace the screws with nuts and bolts. It feels really sturdy how it is now, though I know the screws will work their way out eventually.

my 96 is getting lowered this week i was wondering your wheels size and width?
i like 20" but 18" seem to sit lower
19" is ideal i believe but havent found decent wheels i like for my cheap budget build rite now

Wheels are Work Varianza D3S. 19x9 +9 in front and 19X10+13 in the rear. Running 225/35/19 (front) and 245/35/19 (rear).
Front fenders are rolled. Rear quarters have been cut with a side grinder to about a 1/2 inch thickness, then rolled to eliminate the possibility of the tires catching a sharp surface. The fronts rub a little on full lock but the rears do not touch at all and you can barely get a sheet of paper between them. No camber specs just natural from lowering.

Yes! By all means, go for it. I would be glad for someone to take my idea and run with it. The only other thing that I'm wanting to do with mine now is put the end caps back on by the fender well. It would just complete the look.

I will try to get one posted in the next day or so. I didn't cut any on the bumper. I cut somewhere between a 45 or 90 out of the lip on the sides where the bumper starts to curve. That made it easier to bend the lip and screw it in to follow the bumper.

I guess it's more of a 45 than a 90. Not the prettiest cut but you can't see it. I was using a hand saw. A dremel or cut off wheel would probably be better. The urethane is pretty dang thick. I also kind of rounded it so the cut would not split and run when bent.
