so today i finally had some time to get the blower motor out to test it, and it blows pretty damn strong when hooked to a 12v. that rules out the resistor and motor being bad now. Im being told the last thing i can try is replacing the control unit?

I have removed the dash completely. I see the blower motor but cant located the module to exchange it.
Any suggestions or info on how to locate it? Thanks a bunch!

If you find that your blower control module is indeed the problem, and it likely is, I am interested in obtaining your old one, for testing purposes, so I can develop a low cost DIY repair for folks in the future! (similar to my DIY ECU capacitor fix)
PS - here is the lowest price in the country on the real genuine Lexus part brand new - $187

Hey I know this thread is years old, but I just took my old blower control module out of my '96. Let me know if you'd want it. I feel weird throwing it away knowing there are basically 0 of them in stock on the Internet right now. And they are around $300 if they were to be in stock. 😂

Is it still good I might be interested in it? For a while now my AC fan speed will work fine then will be stuck in full speed. Here is a post I made on it (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...-changing.html)
