Default Major problem with new taillights

These obviously doesn't fit. The other part fits fine and I've seen ls400s with these lights but how do they get them to fit? Cut a hole in the trunk lid?

You bought a set for the wrong year. There is no correcting this beside buying the right set.

Hm, that's bad. I shall ask the seller why he specifies that they fit 1990 -> 1994 when they obviously doesn't.
Thanks for the fast reply.

Well, it's that or it a taillight for a completely different car.

The dusty one looks like it is from a 95+ LS

The dusty one is the stock one from my 1993 LS400!

And as I said, the part that sits on the fender as opposed to the trunk lid fits perfectly! Thats the odd part!

Your first gen has European tail lights and the ones you ordered are for a US or Japanese LS. The ones you bought will fit a US or JDM LS but not a euro LS. The seller is correct in the year for those lights. European LS have smaller taillights to fit the larger license plates.

As i suspected then.... Do you know where to buy something similar for a European model? Could anyone maybe take a picture off their trunk with the light removed? Maybe I can modify the trunk lid to make them fit...

The lock mechanism is probably way different also so that would probably be a little tricky.
