Default New Lexus owner LS400 1990 Problems please helpp

My steering wheel has play, works when i turn it to 11oclock or 1 oclock. What could cause this and how can i fix it?

Third brake light, and two outer tail lights dont turn on, other lights around the car work fine. I replaced fuse, but nothing happened.

Two front seatbelts dont retract and wondering if i can call lexus corp for a replacement? or if anyone know wheres to get cheap seatbelts that will fit it.

The play in the steering could be worn out tie rods. Lights on the rear I would start by checking the bulbs. If the bulbs are ok and you've already changed the fuse, check the trunk wiring harness. Seat belt replacement I have no clue where to start. Might try ebay.

yes, I second the tie-rods diagnosis, that is the main cause of steering play - make sure to have both inner and outer tie rods replaced (Toyota calls the inner tie-rods "rack ends")

call lexus corp..not the dealership for the seatbelt fix. u have to take it to a dealer..get an estimate, then fax it to them..once its fixed they reimburse you for the cost. its going to be around 400 or so per side

Third brake light and two outer tail lights use different fuses. I worry about the dead lights failure sensor located in the trunk room. There are current sensing resistors inside of it and those tend to have a cracked soldering as aged.

Yes, it is located on the left side. The size is about twice bigger than a cigaret case. The currents consumed by brake lights and tail lights are measured and checked in the box. Those resistors generate some heat and expand. These prone to cause a cracked soldering point at both ends.

ok...ive seen these have issues like u said, and they are not too cheap unless u can find them on ebay...dealer wants too much for em. I had a shop that couldn't figure out the problem..i drove my car over during my lunch and told him to swap my box for the one In the car...lights then worked, lol he bought me lunch...anyways he opened it up and it had burn marks on the board. so is this going to happen to mine eventually? ugh
