Two months ago I bought a 1996 ls400 with 217000 miles. So far, I've had the starter, alternator, drive belt, power steering return line, and both motors on the power steering tilt assembly go bad. I've also removed the sensor on the power steering pump with a bolt. Oh yeah, I had the egr return pipe break while I was replacing the starter. This I placed a plate on the lower egr pipe to stop escaping gases. But with all that going wrong, it drives like a dream and both the motor and transmission run great.
