Default intermitent violent surge

On my 200 mile trek this evening, the car bucks 5 or 6 times. Cruise control on just doin 65, boom. felt like i went over a crater with all 4 wheels or something. Or in a manual car when you are in 1st gear and you tap th gas rear quick it jerks. This felt like fuel cut for a split second. Very noticeable.
Fresh oil, fresh trans fluid (drian and fill twice, nice pink color now, good level).
I have no changed the fuel filter, plugs nor the pcv valve yet, who knows how many are on those.
Also-no codes.
Any thoughts? Could very well be fuel filter.

on my '96, when this same scenario occurred, and also with no codes, this ended up being the issue

so not saying that is your issue, but it was mine, and all LS400's have these same defective caps!

well you do have the defective series of capacitors, and all ECU capacitors will eventually go bad, even the non-defective later series such as on LS430 - and the cool part is, even if that is not your current issue, if you have the caps done, and the technician uses the precise rare exact caps I specified in the links provided in post #1 of my thread, then in any event, you will likely see more low end power, and even nicer shifting!

Check the wires around the front of the engine block as well. Those tabs seem to just get old and snap causing the wires to rub against the serpentine belt. Just had that happen to me the other week.
