Tensioner pulley compare old and new.
Advance auto parts $15
The new pulley has a deeper front bearing housing, and this makes it impossible to use the old metal shield/washer, so two M10 washers are needed in replacement.
Another solution would be to use three M10 washers underneath the old metal shield/washer to pop the old metal shield out and make it fit. (This idea has not been tested yet).

Tensioner pulley installed, using two M10 washers on the bolt.
The tensioner pulley feels very solid when spinned in hand and after being installed. I still don't feel good without using the old shield/washer.

After installing the the idler pulley, I drove the car, and then reanalyzed the pulley. The idler pulley make a little bit of wobble movement. Don't feel good!! I will need to keep a close eye (ear) on it (for any noise, bad loose movement).

if the parts are any good and end up being reliable, the price is certainly right!

I haven't investigated what the bearings cost in the idler. Considering the cost for a complete new unit, the bearing should be easily sourced and pressed in for a good savings.

whenever I suggest anyone press a bearing in or have one pressed in, it's like I mentioned performing brain surgery! - they just want something that comes in a box

I can see that. I was lacking forethought when I tossed the previous idler out. Hey, I bought a fresh box, put it on, I was good. When the current one goes south... If anyone has the bearing specs, I'll buy one to have handy.

pressing in a bearing is always best, because you can source a great bearing from Japan (or Sweden or Germany) rather than the crap bearing you get with the idler-in-a-box.

The problem with bearings is counterfeits, so you have to be sure and start with a good manufacturer like NSK or Koyo or NTN or Nachi, etc. and go to them and ask them who is authorized to sell you a genuine one!

however the OP seems to be in luck, as I see an NTN bearing from Canada in there, so that would be pretty darn good, especially given the price!
